As President and Founder, Ty is responsible for overseeing the operations and management of the Company he created from a very successful eBay business. By approaching retail and licensing in a ‘non-traditional’ way, he has grown Ty’s Toy Box into a multi-million dollar business, in less than 3 years.
He has drawn upon his marketing and technology experience with such companies as Fidelity Investments, Arthur Andersen LLP, and Riscorp to build a multi-channel, next generation, e-commerce model that gets product out to the consumers looking for it. Ty’s groundbreaking vision of partnering with Licensors and Licensees to foster brand-centric marketplaces that offer the full breadth of licensed product available for the fans of each brand is allowing property owners to “take back control of their brands”, offering a welcomed alternative to the Big Box domination where a few retailers are dictating what consumers will buy and what products will be produced.

Rick Simpson brings a breadth of expertise in operations management and over 10 years of experience in e-commerce. Prior to accepting the role as COO at Brand Performance, Rick was the Vice President of Services for Truition, an international on-demand e-commerce services company headquartered in Toronto, Canada. At Truition, he was responsible for opening divisions in Boston, London and Germany as well as deploying solutions for major clients such as Dell, NFL, MLB, Sirius and the NBA. Preceding Truition, Rick held a senior management position at FairMarket, a publicly traded company in Boston, MA. Rick holds a Bachelors of Engineering from McGill University and a MBA from Oxford University, in the United Kingdom.

Kelly Johnson
Senior Manager of Information Technology
Kelly is responsible for overseeing the development of the Ty's Toy Box, HIT Shop, and Viz Media website platforms. Kelly's main focus, is to serve as liaison between the Brand Performance staff and the web development team. Kelly analyzes business needs and problems, consults with users and stakeholders to identify opportunities for improving business return through information technology, and transforms requirements into a technical form that the web developers can understand. Kelly is also charged with maintaining the hardware infrastructure through interactions with 3rd party vendors. A member of the Ty's Toy Box team from the very beginning, Kelly's operational knowledge gained through experience working in all company divisions, ensures that the overall benefit to the company is considered in making any web development decisions.
